Jason Wu for Target...Failure

That’s right folks another target collection failure on my part...somewhat. So I went to target on Sunday (the day the collection came out) at 11:30, this particular Target opened at 11. IT WAS TOTALLY CLEANED OUT! Unless you count the three XL dresses that i tried on mind you in a desperate attempt to have them work but they looked like exactly what they were...a dress four sizes too big. I did however get one thing! A really pretty blush colored blouse with cream polka dots and a cream collar with blush polka dots and a lovely tie in the front. I got it in a medium (one size too big) so I can manage it. I don’t even think my store go in any of the accessories like scarves or bags because I scoured the store top to bottom with nothing to be found. I think Target needs to be more considerate with collections like this. I know this are supposed to be 'exclusive' and 'limited edition' but why can’t they have everything continually in stock for a week (at least a day!)? Also I think they need to stock the stores more fairly, an employee at my Target told me they got hardly anything, they had prepared three racks for it but only ended up getting one rack worth of clothes in. I would have thought Target would learn their lesson after the Missoni collection that they need more inventory, but I guess some things never change. Let me know if you guys scored anything!Luck & Lollipops

Profile Pic

Yup i just added a profile pic. No I'm not crazy...I was dresssed up as Katy Perry for her concert (which I LOVED) and that creeper in the background is one of my best friends, Kait. This picture is pretty much just me in a nutshell.

Mentally preparing for tomorrow

That's right tomorrows the day! Oh wait you probably think I’m referring to the super bowl...well I am I love football with a burning passion but hate both of the teams in the super blow this year (that’s a story for another time). Anyway tomorrow the Jason Wu for Target collection comes out! I'm super psyched and preparing ever since the Missoni for Target disaster. My thought process with that was I’ll be smart and wait until a week after the collection comes out to try to get stuff! No one in my small east coast town even knows what Missoni is! This way I can avoid the madness! I was wrong wrong wrong. I went to my target to find it completely cleaned out and the woman working there told me people drove in from different sates to get the stuff! Craziness, I know. Of course online was as just a much of a bust- EVERTHING was gone. I sure learned my lesson. So my lovely cousin told me she will bring me tomorrow morning and I have been saving my money for weeks (except I cheated a little bit at TJ Maxx last night). I seriously want everything in the collection. I love the flirty dresses and skirts and gorgeous blouses. They will be perfect for spring/summer and my trip to Portugal Spain and Morocco in April. What are you guys eyeing from the collection?

MAKEUP FOREVER HD FOUNDATION REVIEW

The caps in the title are pretty fancy eh? Anyhow let’s get down to business. A review of my favorite foundation ever! Now let me tell you I have tried a ridiculous amount of foundations in my 16 years of life (you could kind of say I’m a foundation whore) but this is by far the best. Let’s work our way from the outside in
PACKAGING:
Best. Packaging. Ever. That’s right packaging doesn’t get much better than this! First off the bottle is clear, sturdy plastic. Ill never understand why companies make foundation packaging tinted. Maybe they want us to buy the wrong color so we have to buy another for the color to be right? Who knows. Anyway it’s great because you can easily see the color which makes the process of trying to find your match made in heaven a lot easier. Also if you drop this bottle it work break because its no glass so no mess for you! In addition I’m in love with the pump on this. Seriously it’s going to be my valentine this year (#foreveralone). The pump gives you the perfect amount of product in 1 pump, not too much, not too little! Great because you don’t have to waste any product or sit there slapping the bottle of foundation waiting for the thick product to come out only to have it suddenly rush out and get all over your clothes...wait...that’s only happened to me? Anyway it makes doing makeup in the morning a ton easier.
COVERAGE:
Now let’s talk about the actual foundation shall we? The coverage is what most would call medium. Medium coverage is just the way I like it. Covers my acne, redness and evens skin tone but feels light on my skin, and I can still see me, not like I’m wearing a mask!
FORMULA:
Amazing. Super bendable...you can actual take your time...this product gives you all the time in the world to blend not like other foundations *cough* Revlon Colorstay *cough*. Like I said it feels light on your skin...like your not wearing anything think of your face as being...naked...awkward...Now lets talk about the HD aspect. I really can’t vouch didn’t notice a huge difference but I guess if you take lots of photos maybe you would? I believe its HD but I don’t think it’s something the average jo like myself you realize. Also this works for any skin type! Oily, dry, sensitive, combination, normal- come one come all this foundation will work for you! I know this because I have combination sensitive skin (yeah it really sucks!) and this doesn’t break me out or make my face oily or cling on to dry skin! Have I found a new wonder of the world? The finish is semi-matte, just the slightest sheen is on your face after applying this but I still recommend setting with powder (I use a MAC mineralize skinfinish natural in light).
WEAR TIME:
Wears a full school day for me which is 6 hours. Some might be impressed by this others disappointed. I like it, if it’s not claiming to be a long wear foundation we shouldn’t be sad when it’s not on after a 10 day jungle safari (whoa you can see my sarcastic side there)
RANDOM:
This comes in a huge array of colors. They have many different colors but also undertones! Yay a company that finally understands not all people have a medium skin tone with beige undertones! I got 115 and it works great for my pail pink undertone skin- its a perfect match! Also they have lots of deep shades which is great because that color family unfortunately tends to be neglected. Last note the one thing I struggle with with this foundation..............THE PRICE! $40 for 1 ounce!?!?!?! Come on were not made of money! I mean it’s totally worth it but it wipes out my wallet...after all I’m only in high school! *sigh* the price you pay for flawless skin.

FOREVER

WOW!!! Been forever since we last posted! Just Colleen here and I had totally forgot about this blog until I was commenting on a post on Scrangie.com (check it out...a great nail polish blog!) Anyway I was commenting about the china glaze hunger games polish collection. Can you say disappointing? I was so mad there is so many amazing things they could have done with that collection but they did a total half-not even half ass job! The colors really don’t relate too much too the book except for the read ones and the names make me think they must have not even bothered to read the book-because they have nothing to do with it! They could have had names like
-Girl on fire
-Primrose (perfect for the rosy color in the collection)
-Bow and arrow
-Tribute
-District 1 (perfect for silver/white glitter)
-Capitol Craze (would be great for a crazy glitter)
-Mockingjay
-Tracker Jacker
-Rue's whistle

These are so much better! Seriously going to write and angry letter to China Glaze for totally butchering what could have been a great collection. Well bye for now...I no one really reads this blog but for those who do...I promise to post again soon!!

Blogging

As you can tell we don't blog very much. But we will get into it. Usually we go on to blog something in but then we can't think of a topic to talk about, or the other person doesn't like the topic. So this is the perfect topic. Blogging about blogging!
